There’s two things that keep our heart beating. When you find connection and feel loved. By connection we mean connection with people that accept you for who you are, and connection with a God that made you that way. By love we mean a love that is deep, abiding, profound, and boundless.

Here’s what you can expect…

Sundays at KUMC are about an hour of worship that’s real, meaningful, and (mostly) predictable — music, scripture, a 20-ish minute message, prayer, and communion every week.

At KUMC we believe worship is about creating space to encounter the living God of love. Our prayer is that everyone who sits or stands or lurks in this space will experience God in some way.

Here’s what we’re talking about lately

  • Yeah! Every week. It’s a tangible way to know you are meant to receive something from the act of worship. And this meal is open for all. We say every week that the table at the front doesn’t belong to KUMC or even The UMC, but to God. All are invited.

  • We have a band!… sometimes, and a choir other times. We’ve learned the value of worship from long-ago and more recent. Both, and everything in between, offers us a beautiful opportunity to praise God well. But no matter the music style, the vibe is chill.

  • Kids are more than welcome! In fact we call kids professional worshippers teaching us what joy and celebration truly look like. In worship there’s a space called the “Prayground” where little ones can wiggle, color, or play while still joining in worship. And our Prayground worshippers will have an invitation to participate in leading worship, like carrying the Bible to the table.

  • If you drive up and think it looks like an elementary school, you’re right! Follow the signs to get into the parking lot (it's a long, windy driveway - perfect for an eyes-open morning prayer), then park in the main lot. We’ll meet you at the double doors to say hi!

  • If not we’re hoping Jesus performs another miracle with water in the morning.

House Groups

House groups meet in houses (surprise!) and are meant to be a place of relationship building, faith formation, and exploration. We even have a community for knitters!

Music Groups

Whether you love old hymns, modern worship, or just humming along, there’s room for your voice (or your guitar, or your cajón). Come join our joyful worship of God!

Our youth meet throughout the school year for faith formation, relationship-building, and fun. It’s a safe space to ask questions, explore faith, serve, and build lasting friendships.
